El Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant in Florence

Showed up with a party of eight and two kids, service was quick and fantastic, writhing 10 minutes of putting our order in our food it was ready to eat, the burrito grande was spot on as well as the chicken quesadilla. No complaints what so ever. Great service, great food!

Food was good, service was slow. We frequently were out of chips or beverage for some time before even asked if we wanted refills. It would have been fine if it was busy, but barely any tables were being used.

first....they sat us at a dirty table, we moved ourselves, no one took our drink order for 15 minutes while others came in and had orders for drinks and food taken immediately, servers walked by us and never even looked at us....finally we had drink order taken, brought me the wrong drink....ok no big deal, our dinner order was taken....dinner came out a mess,my husband's food covered in cilantro and my chicken had pineapple in it....no it was not suppose to!!!! nope....we will never go back!!!

Stylish mexican restaurant,nice and cozy place with mexican decorations. Service nice and fast. Prices are reasonable. Food is very good and excellent coronaritas. There is a place where is possible to smoke but is not completely separate so you can smell cigarette smoke

Food and service was terrible!!! No manager on-site and my niece slipped on water from the leaky toilets and fractured her arm!!!

This restaurant gets my vote as The Best Mexican restaurant in Florence! The food is both plentiful and tasty. I could go there and just enjoy the free chips and salsa (we ALWAYS order the caso), if the food wasn’t so good! You will find their food consistent. We have eaten there since the beginning. If, and that’s a huge “IF”, you can possibly hold it, the desert are amazing! I can never find room enough to order one.....!

One of my favorites for Mexican cuisine in the area! They have a good variety of food and even we they are busy, we hardly ever have to wait for a table. Food comes out hot, fast, and delicious.

Went for lunch today. It was fast & good service! I got fajita nachos which were tasty!

Asada taco and chile relleno are great. Service is friendly and prompt.

Dropped in for lunch. Got the shredded beef chimichanga and pork asado. Both delicious. Service was slow on refills.

Chips and salsa were "ok". I really prefer chunky salsas with fresh cilantro. I was adventurous and ordered the Fajita Volcan which listed ingredients in Spanish and I didn't know what they were. In my opinion it was not a fajita. It was more like a giant bowl of beans and weenies (yes it had hot dogs), slab of skirt steak, a chicken tender, slab of cactus. The best part was the bacon wrapped shrimp. An unbreaded mozzarella sticks. Whole jalapeno. It was tasty but so not a fajita. My husband loved his fajita chimi. Our service was good, I did hear 2 families complaining as they left that they waited 1 1/2 - 2 hours for their order because of low staff and a large group being served at the same time. Our orders came out very quickly.

Solid Mexican. The grilled chicken is well cooked and more tasty than most. The rice is edible by all standards. The refried beans are a standout. They're never scorched and big on flavor. The chips and salsa are nothing special and the few times I've got cheese dip it's been clumpy. I had a steak dish once. It was forgettable. I enjoy their chicken more.

The food was good. A lot for not very much. Service was great as well. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because my Shrimp fajitas were not seasoned very well.

Not my favourite - food is sub par and service, same, no matter how many times I've been there (several) nor what time of day... There's better Mexican restaurants in the area.

This place consistently delivers fresh, hot, tasty food quickly. The restaurant is always clean and service is good. The one negative is smoking is allowed at the bar so it can sometimes be a bit smokey near that area. If you have a seat farther away, it's generally not a problem. My favorite dish is the burrito mexicano with chicken.

No salsa with chips was given or offered. I had an empty little bowl though. Not sure what that was about. A few gnatts or little flying bugs kept flying around my table and food. Unable to get a plate to make my fajitas on because nobody checked on me after getting my food. A picture of a couple was posted on the front door that didnt pay for their food. I understand that sucks but is that seriously the first thing you want your customers to see? Inside looked nice but not well ran.

Fastest sit down place even during lunch rush and the food is always great.

I am a bit of a Mexican food groupie. I have been to all the options in NKY. All of the El Rio Grande around. This one takes the prize hands down. Their chips and salsa are next level. Always amazing service and hardly ever a wait to be seated. I usually mix it up and try new menu items. I've yet to have a bad one. My favorite is probably the fajitas. Which are hugely portioned and quite affordable. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Highly recommend.

The food was amazing!! We were there friday night and such a nice ambient! Clayton was our server and he’s the best server we’ve always had on that place, way far from the other one’s! Loved the chips and salsa as well!!

Great place for lunch. The beans actually have beans in it, the rice is always cooked to perfection, and the portion sizes are outrageous. When dining here save time for naps, you're going to need one. I love the Grande franchise and the El Rio Grande did not disappoint. Next time take your lunch crew and enjoy the friendly service and atmosphere.

I love Mexican food and this place once again hits the spot! It is festive, fun and they serve a mighty tasty Margarita. My meal on this visit was the Rio Grande fajitas. The meat was tender and full of flavor. The toppings seemed fresh straight from the garden and it was served piping hot! The rest of my party ordered other items from the menu and everyone seemed as pleased as I was. I just don't see how it gets any better than that. As Always, Enjoy!
